A HOTEL EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER.
What if a hotel stay could be like borrowing the beautiful house of an old, rich uncle? Someone who has lived life to the fullest, traveled the world and adorned his home with a collection of art and eclectic objects. Staying at Huxley House is stepping into a world where luxury, taste and a touch of mystery meet in the quiet intimacy of a private home. A peaceful getaway where old-world hospitality seamlessly blends with modern comfort and service. The first Huxley House will be located near Amsterdam’s beautiful Vondelpark, within easy walking distance to all the major attractions in the city.

Make yourself at home. At Huxley House, a light breakfast is always included, and you can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages at any time of the day. Huxley wouldn’t have it any other way.

Luxury self-service. Huxley House is a limited on-site staff hotel, which means both independence and discretion for our guests. It is one of the first hotels to fully incorporate hologram technology in the guest journey. This means that staff will service you from a remote location, but will appear as live holograms at the hotel. You can check in by yourself, but can always reach us if you need anything.

Vondelpark. Huxley House is situated near this iconic 19th-century urban oasis in Amsterdam. The park offers leafy paths, tranquil ponds, open-air art, and the famed summer Vondelpark Open Air Theatre. Steps from the hotel, it’s a beloved retreat for cycling, strolling, and experiencing the city’s relaxed, local atmosphere.
The hotel is perfectly located within close proximity to both the theatre district and Museumplein with the surrounding museums, as well as other sights and attractions in the city centre.

Pierre Cuypers (1827–1921) was one of the leading Dutch architects of the 19th century and a key figure in the country’s Neo-Gothic movement. He designed major landmarks such as the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Central Station, along with many churches, castles, and public buildings. His work is known for ornate brick façades, pointed arches, vertical lines, and a strong emphasis on symbolism and craftsmanship.
Vondelstraat in Amsterdam is closely linked to Cuypers. In the 1870s–1880s he designed several elegant Neo-Gothic townhouses along the street, and his own home and studio stood at Vondelstraat 77, now a listed national monument.
Huxley House is located right in the neighborhood where Cuypers lived and shaped some of his most distinctive work.

Huxley House is a haven of tranquillity in the heart of the bustling city. It’s a place where you can fully embrace the luxury of being yourself, surrounded by grace, elegance, and every comfort you need. A little like being home alone, in the best possible way.
